In 1992, Kevin woke from a dream in a Columbus, Georgia hotel room and wrote a poem verbatim on a notepad. He kept it to himself for fifteen years, then commissioned his childhood friend Kristin Tuller to illustrate it as a book for his child, Scout. Choose to Love was born. I Love You When followed — a bedtime story about the kind of love that doesn't come with conditions.
